This is the only one I got made this year – too, too busy.  I don’t take a very good picture and need to adjust tie ribbons.

bunk bed

In Uncategorized on December 7, 2011 at 7:56 pm

My friend Anne asked me to try and sell this adorable bed.  It has sheets, pillows, comforter and blanket (rolled up at end of bed).  The blanket is pink with white lace on top.  She only wants $60 for it and I think this is a good price.  It is for pick up only, in Newmarket.  Great Xmas present.

I found this beautiful sparkly fabric and just had to get it!  It does not sparkle as much in picture, but beautiful.

New things

In Uncategorized on December 5, 2011 at 7:30 pm

I put some pictures from Pickering College, which was a good show.  I saw Justin Bieber last week singing one of his Xmas songs and he was wearing the most adorable jacket.  I only saw it for a minute, but made a copy and it looks just like his.  I never saw him wearing anything like it.  A red jacket, with tartan sleeves and a white fur collar!  Making winter coats and hats to keep the girls warm and cute this winter.  Also, have a pair of matching pj’s, size 8.  I will keep sewing and put up as I go.  Would love to hear your comments.

NOVEMBER

I made a dress to match the one in picture.  Allison did all the fancy art work on it and I love it.  I started making Xmas dresses and have about another 8 to do, so keep checking.

July 25/11

In Uncategorized on July 26, 2011 at 12:20 pm

Cassie was at the market this week and gave me the best suggestion yet.  She made a sign for a “starter kit” which is one doll, one outfit, pj’s, necklace and socks for $65.  The sign was up for 10 minutes and she sold a kit.  She also designed the black and white outfits, but I can’t decide if tank top should be tucked in or out.  Any comments appreciated.  Come see me at the Newmarket Farmers Market.  I am there every Saturday from 8 am to 1 pm.

Sun dresses

In Uncategorized on June 8, 2011 at 12:03 pm

Becky and I did the Aurora Street Festival last Sunday.  I had made sun dresses and hats for it…..and was surprised when they all sold!  I have a Fun Fair to do at a school tomorrow, so have been sewing around the clock for it.  I was flattered when a lady came to the Market last Saturday to invite me.  |She told me that some girls had told her about me and would I come as a vendor.   I am looking forward to it.  I have posted some of the dresses and hats I made for it and hope to get comments.

Becky will be at the Newmarket Farmers Market this Saturday because I will be at my brother’s wedding.  The following Saturday, June 18th, I will not be at the market, but at the Markham Music Festival on Main Street.  As you can see, I have a lot of sewing to do.

First Market 2011

In Uncategorized on May 29, 2011 at 10:35 am

Last week was the first week at the Market.  It was nice to see so many old friends and familiar faces.  I put up some of my new sun dresses and outfits.  Got a nice picture of Becky working.  Becky has now been helping me for the 3rd season and has become my right arm.  She can now do almost everything I do and I would be lost without her.  This week it rained until an hour before closing, but did get girls in after I took the tarp off the girls!  We have been on Main street but are now moving to Ducan behind Main street this weekend.  Hope to see you this coming Saturday.  I am sewing all week to create some new fun outfits for summer.

London Feis

In Uncategorized on May 17, 2011 at 10:02 am

These are pictures from The Irish Dancing Competition we went to in London, Ontario.  There are pictures of Kathleen and Cassie putting crystals on dresses late the night before show to enhance dresses.  Also, I tried to get pictures of Cassie in her dress, but only got side and back when her Mom was helping her get ready.  She ran every time I pulled out my camera.  She did very well dancing and I had a hard time not to cry watching her, my heart swelling with pride.  She still looks adorable even from the back!  We did very well and met a lot of nice people.  The most popular outfits were the Irish dancing outfits, which come with dress, tiara, bloomers, poodle socks, shoes, garment bag, with pockets and hanger.  The yoga pants were also very popular and came back with only 2 pairs.  Now I have to sew more and get ready for the Newmarket Farmers Market this Saturday, May 21st.  I hope that I see a lot of familiar faces from last year.  We are now On Main Street until the construction is finished and I will let you know when we move.

black gloves

In Uncategorized on March 29, 2011 at 7:45 pm

I think I like the black gloves better, but now the top looks too plain.  What do you think, the black gloves with no necklace or necklace?

HELP!

In Uncategorized on March 29, 2011 at 6:52 pm

Even though the trend this year is short prom dresses, I thought I would make a long traditional one.  I’m not sure I like the gloves and think maybe black would look better.  Also, should I put a small silver necklace or is that too much?  Please give me your ideas.
