The fashion show was a total success. Cassie and Jacqui put on 2 shows on Monday, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Keilah and Shiloh brought their dolls and sat them right in front of the stage. Stephanie brought her friend Emma and seemed to enjoy the show. Tasha came with her Grandma and not only got stuff for herself, but for her cousins as well. I got some good feedback on what was the best things to make for Spring and thank the girls for coming and making our first Fashion show a success!

Have been sewing new stuff this weekend. My friend Anne found this adorable old fashion lounge chair, so I had to make an old fashion night gown and cap for it. I also like the leather pant suit on Cassie. I have made a lot of yoga pants and love the way they look. Any comments or suggestions?

I am trying to make different waistbands for these yoga pants. Cassie’s has 2 bands, different colors, but that was difficult and a lot of work that I didn’t feel looked that much better for doll, as limited space. I still have to make some tops to go with these pants and am still thinking about what type to make. Any ideas?

I have 2 girls coming tomorrow with Felicity and Julie. Their Mom asked me to make something for her 6 year old daughter’s birthday and has “Julie”. I made her matching pj’s and hope that she likes one of these for Julie. I have made several other things for her to choose from and hope that she likes them.

We had a great time Saturday at the Markham Fairgrounds. Jacqueline was a helper and really helped a lot, since she had to tie the tiny little laces on Irish dancing shoes. Becky was there of course and she worked very hard all day – 10 hours, as well as my friend, her Mom Anne. I really could not do any shows without Anne and Becky. They brought everything in their van and because I had to leave at noon to go to Ajax to look after my son Grant, who had surgery. They had to load everything back into the van and bring it back to my house in Newmarket. I really don’t know how to thank my friend Anne. They sold every Irish dancing outfit, some dolls and a lot of the outfits that I had made. Cassandra made a “first place” sash for the dolls and it was a big hit.
In last posting I said that Becky sewed “bottoms” on coats. I meant “buttons” and she laughed when she read it and I told her that I would correct it. I have to mention that Denise made the Irish dancing outfits and everyone commented how beautiful they were. She is very talented and I could not have made them that well. So thank you Denise, they were the hit of the day.

This picture was taken by SNAP at the Pickering College Xmas Tour. Jacqueline and Cassandra, my grand daughters are on the left and came all the way from Ajax with their mom Kathleen, to help me. Becky, on the right, is my assistant and I don’t know what I would do without her. Jacqueline and Cassandra got me to start sewing for their dolls and when it got crazy, we started to sell the outfits. Because they live in Ajax and cannot come often, Becky helps me do everything to keep us going. She has helped me at the Newmarket Farmers Market, shows and is terrific. She also helps me at home sorting laces, fabrics, painting furniture. She now even cuts out patterns and sews bottoms on coats, etc. I do not know what I would do without her. as well as her mom, my friend Anne. Anne all last summer came early to the market to help me set up and load her van with stuff for me. She shops and finds stuff I need for the dolls. She helps me organize at home as well as helping me at shows. I cannot say enough about my friend Anne. Without Anne and Becky, I could not do what I do. Thank you my friends Anne and Becky!!
