Following the long weekend…

In Uncategorized on May 27, 2010 at 10:34 pm
The market was fun this Saturday.  Some old friends, Hannah and her sister, who both have the beautiful blonde Amanda.  Hannah went home with the Prom dress and was very happy.  I did make another Prom dress this week, but made a short one this time, in black and red with matching shoes.  Can’t wait to see who likes it.
Emma brought her Webkin “Tigtig”.  She got a mauve terry robe with hoodie and Tigtig looked adorable.  We posted a picture for you to see.
Talia came in to see us.  She seemed to like everything but left with pink pj’s and slippers, as well as a track suit with a black puppy on the front.
I did make a karate suit, a basketball suit for a cabbage patch boy and some old fashioned dresses from 1854 for the doll Kirsten, but nobody came to pick them up and hope to see them this week.
There is nothing nicer than to see those happy faces when they come see my new stuff and leave with a pink bag and a huge smile.  Making these doll things, has been the best therapy, ever.
I am anxious for the market this week just to see who visits me with their dolls, to try outfits on them.
Love, Grandma Bea xx

Prom Dress

This week I had a few friends visit. Kennedy picked up a couple of outfits for her doll Sydney.

Emma came with her mom. She got a “glen check” trench coat and hat for Rebecca. I was happy to get an email later to tell me Rebecca looked Beautiful in her new coat an hat.

Isabella brought in her doll Kirsten who lived in 1854. She asked me if I could make a dress since they don’t sell doll clothes anymore. I did fool around with an idea and made 3 different dresses. I also made Bonnets of the day as well as bloomers. I hope she sees them and comes back to the market.

Rain with a little shine

Yesterday was the first day at the market. It was a bit cold, very wet. A terrible down pour came and closed everybody down early. However it was great to see so many returning customers, girls that had waited the winter to see what creations I’ve come up with.

Thanks to everyone that came out.

Something New for the Spring

One week away before the Farmer’s Market. Newmarket got together today to clean up the Holland River Trail and prepare for a beautiful summer with amazing pathways for everyone in Newmarket and the surrounding areas. With the start of a new season I thought it would be nice to include something new to the line. Voila! Meubles!
